Perspective: Carbon-Aware Batch Scheduling in Cloud Data Lakes
Abstract
We outline a carbon-aware scheduling policy using grid carbon intensity forecasts to shift non-urgent batch workloads, reducing emissions 18% without breaching SLOs.
